Be a Christian through Love

February 22, 2015 brought forth an article which can be read fully here. It describes hatred against Christians due to some acts of vandalism apparently carried out by “Evangelists” on a famed Hindu temple. It may have been done by the so-called Christian vandals, or it may have been done by someone crafty enough to spur on the religious hatred in a time when the world is already being rocked by religious extremists.

The world is at our fingertips – Google “Spread Christianity through love” – that’s how we should tell others of our Lord Jesus. This article can be read by those too lazy to go through all the results in the search. Jesus wants to be known to every person through His act of love, and not hatred. Forcing something on someone will make them hate it. Forcing a kid to eat his veggies will make him hate it for life. Forcing a child to swallow her cereals will make her detest it for as long as she lives.

Rather, we can bring the change by being the change ourselves. When we show others that we are Christians through our actions, we can bring the change automatically – just as if the kids see their parents enjoying their veggies, they will be automatically curious to taste it, and then they will start enjoying it.

We have to bring others into Christ with happiness and not through force, and especially not through vandalism. Had Christ just destroyed all the false-worshipping churches, and their idols physically, none would have known His love. He destroyed Himself and bought everyone into the Lord through His blood.

Perhaps distributing tract and Bibles may seem quite arduous a task for you – even those should be done carefully and not forcibly – incorrectly doing it will make people run from Jesus as opposed to running to Him. This Lent, pray to bring about a change to this disturbed world through your acts pray to show the world the true face of a Christian through His Love. The world should know that we are His disciples not through the crosses on our heads, or through the rough acts of vandalism we wreak upon the worshippers of other Gods, but through the cross we draw in our hearts, and the love we show to others.
